NSW Code of Conduct
The Holiday Rental Industry Association has taken over the administration of the NSW Code of Conduct, which can be accessed on the HRIA website.
The HRIA objective is to roll the Code out as a standard for the whole of Australia.

Your House Rules
Your own Terms & Conditions and House Rules constitute a legally binding agreement between you and your guests. If your guests do not comply with these you have the right to terminate the agreement and evict them. They are essential, powerful management tools.
Terms and Conditions are usually drafted by your managing agent or sometimes the platform you market your property through, such as Stayz or Airbnb and usually T&Cs include information about payments, bonds, cancellation policies etc. Your property might also be subject to by-laws if you are in a strata titled property, so it is recommended that you understand where these may be applicable, so you can pass on relevant information to your guests.
House Rules outline the way you want your property to be looked after and these are usually something you draft yourself, taking into consideration the specific amenities and location of your property. For a sample House Rules template you can download, click here: HLO Sample House Rules
